The booking fee is charged per gypsy, not per person. One open 4WD gypsy seats up to 6 guests plus the driver and a forest department naturalist guide, so the same rate applies whether you travel as one guest or six.
Camera charges are extra. Camera and DSLR charges are set by the forest department and collected in cash at the gate when your permit is verified. Mobile phone photography is free. A full component breakdown is on our safari fee and timings page.
What's Covered
Choose Your Gate
All three gates charge the same fee, so pick on drive time from Nagpur and the wildlife each zone is known for.
The most popular entry — densest core zone, prime tiger territory and dense teak forest. Best sighting frequency of the three.
Lush green valleys and watering holes. Known for large Gaur herds and wild dog packs, and the quietest of the three gates.
The most scenic zone, along the Wainganga River and Gose Khurd backwater. Exceptional birdlife with 300+ species recorded.
The Process
Enter your details, choose your gate, group size, date and slot, then confirm.
Our team calls within 1–2 hours to verify details and confirm permit availability.
We file the forest department permit against each guest's photo ID and send confirmation.
Report at the gate 30 minutes early with original IDs. Your gypsy and guide are waiting.
The safari permit is issued against named guests, so identity verification at the gate is strict and non-negotiable.
| Slot | Safari Timing | Report By | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Morning | 5:30 AM – 9:00 AM | 5:00 AM | Peak wildlife activity, fresh overnight tracks, cool air |
| Evening | 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM | 3:00 PM | Golden-hour light, predators emerging to drink |
Late arrivals cannot be accommodated. Gypsies leave on schedule and the slot is not refundable if you miss it. Plan your drive with buffer time — see how to reach UPKWS for routes from Nagpur.

Common Questions
Use the booking form on this page. It takes four steps: enter your personal details, choose your safari gate and number of guests, pick your date and morning or evening slot, then review and confirm. Our team processes the forest department permit against the IDs you provide and confirms your booking directly by phone and email.
A safari booking costs ₹5,500 per gypsy on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and ₹6,000 per gypsy on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). The fee covers up to 6 guests and includes the forest department permit, open gypsy, driver, naturalist guide and all taxes. Camera and DSLR charges are payable separately in cash at the gate.
Permits are capped per slot per gate, and the Karhandla morning slot fills fastest. We recommend booking at least a week ahead during the peak March to May period and on weekends. In the quieter monsoon months a few days' notice is usually enough.
Every guest needs a valid government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID or Driving Licence. Details are recorded for the forest department safari permit, and you must carry the original document used at the time of booking to the gate. Photocopies and digital images are not accepted.
Yes. You can select Karhandla, Gothangaon or Pauni gate during the booking process, subject to permit availability for your chosen date and slot. Note the weekly closures — Karhandla and Gothangaon are closed on Mondays, and Pauni is closed on Tuesdays.
Date changes can be requested by contacting our team at least 48 hours before your scheduled safari, subject to permit availability on the new date. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the safari date, a refund is issued minus a small processing fee. Cancellations within 48 hours are generally non-refundable because of forest department permit timelines.
Call or WhatsApp us and we'll check live permit availability for your date and gate, and complete the booking for you.
